Well we managed to get a baby sitter and venture out to a restaurant we had heard very good reports about. The restaurant was easily booked via a facebook message. When we arrived the girl waiting on was very polite and gave us a very warm welome and we were allowed to pick the table we prefered. There were 2 other tables occupied.
The menu was Al a Carte with a very good selection of starters and entre's. We decided to have entre's and desserts. I had a small fillet steak (they do 2 sizes) which was cooked to perfection with home made chips and a small green leaf salad. My wife had the pork which covered the plate.
The wine menu covered most areas and the white Sauvignon Blanc my wife chose was chilled perfectly and tasted great.
Sarah, the lady who owns the restaurant, is also the chef and pops out of the kitchen between quiet times to converse with the patrons.
This restaurant does not have a childrens menu as it mainly caters for adults wanting a nice "adult" night out.
We will definately be going again.
The Blue Bell Hotel
We went to The Blue Bell Hotel at Burton Agnes for their Wednesday night Indian Special. What a disaster!
The waitress launched the starters all over the table and popped them back onto the plate, "enjoy" she said and walked off.
My wife and I both decided to to have the medium spiced chicken curry. The curry had no spice in it - it was like a Chicken Chassuer! Even worse the rice was a "rissoto" rice! It all tasted awful!
The Manager explained that their chef was leaving them that night. Maybe he was trying to sabotage their business!
However the worst part was that the Manager said she would contact us to arrange "something". No reply after 4 weeks so here is my Blue Bell Hotel @ Burton Agnes restaurant summary:
Awful give it a miss and spend your money somewhere else. It only gets 1 star due to the beer on tap.
We stopped at The Waterfront as it was lunch time and we'd seen the restaurant being reformed. Upon entering you are greeted with very comfortable looking sofa's and an ultra modern theme. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and we took our table in the window - which allowed us excellent views of the beach across the road.
The menu includes a variety of Ciabatta sandwiches, jacket potatoes, home made soups, breakfasts and a childrens menu.
My wife asked for a variation of one of the sandwiches off of the menu and this was catered for without question. We both had Ciabatta sandwiches, which came with a small fresh side salad, crisps and deli-style coleslaw. We also shared a portion of home cooked chips.
The food was delicious with the Ciabatta sandwiches having a lot of filling. We finished our meal with Illy coffee. There is also a large selection of cakes for those with a sweet tooth

Very busy at the weekend especially when all of the tourists arrive. Nice spit roasted chicken. Good outside seating area let down by shocking service. Arrive mid afternoon during the week for descent service and no queue.
Buffalo's American Restaurant
You can’t come to Bridlington without having a meal here. The food is great and the service is excellent.
The restaurant is located on Fort Terrace just off the sea front between the amusement arcades and Leisure World. Booking a table for 8:30pm we asked for a table in the window and that's exactly what we got.
We were served by Kellie (I hope that's how you spell her name), a very attentive girl who really made us feel very welcome. She was chatty but not overbearing - the sort of waitress most top London restaurants would die for. The wine was poured for us during the meal and the used plates were removed as soon as they were finished - which for me is how all restraunts should be.
We (my wife and I) shared BBQ Wings & BBQ Ribs to start and they both tasted excellent. My wife had a very enjoyable Ribeye, cooked exactly as ordered. I had a 10oz rump steak which has to be the best tasting rump I have ever had - the meat just fell apart, it was cooked so well. For dessert my wife had Chocolate Brownie's. I say 'Brownies' as there were 2 large pieces of Brownie along with 2 scoops of ice cream. I had a single espresso which was so big it was like having a triple! - which i loved.
The meat is from a local butcher and of the highest quality.
The dining area is quite small but the tables are arranged well with no one being on top of each other. It was a little bit noisy, but hey, most restaurants are!
We have been to many top London & Michelin Starred restaurants and Buffalo's certainly matched them in every area. Buffalo's however has the edge - it beats them on price hands down. For our meal including a bottle of Californian Sauvignon Blanc we paid £45.00.
Will we be going back? Living in Sewerby, loving our food! The answer is a definite, 'Yes'.

Teddy Bears peak around every corner in this very friendly Old Town restaurant. The food is excellent home made fare and the service the staff provide is second to none! The wine list caters for everyones taste and a visit here should not be missed. The seating is not over crowded and the covers in the top part of the restaurant are quite intimate. Remember to leave room for a dessert!
Excellent Fish and Chips set in a wonderful location. Not to be missed when visiting Sewerby. Click here for more details.
Bonifacio's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria

Excellent Pasta & Pizza's await anyone who dines here. We called here after a very busy day out (a Saturday in the middle of the school holidays) and whilst the restaurant was fully booked they made a table available for us. My wife had Pasta Carbonara and I had a Rustica Pizza, which I must say is the best Rustica pizza I have ever had - nice and spicy!
The service was good and the staff were very attentive.
We have been going to this restaurant since the 1st day they opened and i have to say that the food seems to get better and better on each visit.
Please note though that the restaurant does not take credit cards.

A wonderful meal awaits anyone who visits this fairly new edition to Bridlington's excellent range of restaurants. Situated opposite the rear entrance to Marks & Spencer the restaurant is spread over 2 floors with the tables downstairs offering that little bit of intimacy that a lot of diners like. I visited this restaurant at 7:00pm on a Friday night in August, a little hesitant at what I might find as all the other Indian Restaurants in Bridlington have proved a big disappointment. Not this one though, the service was of the highest order with the staff being very attentive without being over-bearing.
The food tasted wonderful with the meat falling off the bone at the slightest touch.I had Tandoori Chicken to start followed by Chicken Pathia with my wife having Chicken Pakoras followed by Chicken Bhuna. To accompany this we had Garlic Chilli Rice and a Garlic Naan.We couldn't face a dessert due to being so full from the amount of food we ate!The drinks menu is very extensive with an excellent range of alchol free beers. Please note that the restaurant does not have a alchol licence but you are very welcome to take your own wine - they'll even cork it for you at no cost!
Updated - We visit this restaurant at least once a month and we have never had a bad meal!
Tea at Thyme (Tea Shop)
You are always made to feel welcome at Bridlingtons 2007 award winning Tea Shop. The selection in the menu is complimented by a vast array of daily specials.

Booking is essential (even on a Tuesday evening in January when there's 2" of snow on the ground). This family run restaurant serves some of the finest home cooked Italian food you will ever eat. And, there is plenty of it. Salvatore & Rosella make everyone very welcome. This is not to be missed...
Supatra Thai Restaurant

Excellent, tradional home cooked Thai Food. Koo and the staff always offer a very warm welcome. Can not see that special dish on the menu? Ask Koo if she's got the ingredients and she'll make it for you. (Thai dishes only). With every dish you can taste the different spices that make this an excellent dining experience... Not to be missed!!!

|A La Carte Restaurant
73 High St, Old Town
Brilliant is what I say everytime I visits this small and intimate restaurant in the heart of Bridlingtons Old Town. The food is all home made and there's always plenty of it. The staff are very courteous and treat all of their guests like family. There is a choice of menus which are exceedingly good value for money.
You will definately have to book to enjoy this restaurant. The last time I called, with my wife, we both had the early evening 2 course menu which included a half carafe of wine for only £17.95 (for both). You will not be disappointed!
36 High Street
Cosa Nostra (Italian)
You will find the restaurant on the A165, Hull to Bridlington road, at the village of Barmston about 4 miles south of Bridlington.
The restaurant serves massive portions of food. Excellent you may say, but that is if you are not bothered about the service.
We have been twice to this restaurant. The first time we went the food was excellent and we could not believe the portion sizes. However the service was downright rude. The staff only seemed interested in talking to the regulars. Everyone else seemed like a chore!
However we thought we'd give it another go, earlier in the evening this time. We called at 5:30pm on our way back to Bridlington. We walked into the restaurant to find only 4 tables occupied. "A table for 2 we asked". The waitress replied that they were full. We advised her that we would be quick as all we wanted was a pasta & pizza and a drink. "Wait outside and i will sort you a table" said the waitress.
We waited outside at a cold and draughty table (something put there for smokers - by the look of it). The next minute the waitress was setting up the table outside for us to eat at - the waitress didn't even wipe the table which has bird muck on it and God only knows what else!"Do you not have a table inside we asked", " No we told you, we are full" said the waitress.
Well we got up and left and will not be going back there again. There are better Italian restaurants in Bridlington - see Bonifacios above - what more the food tastes nicer and you don't have to drive, so you can enjoy a nice bottle of wine and a grappa!
